Q: What are milliamps (mAh)?
A: There are 1000 milliamps in an amp. Amps are units used to measure electric current. A normal circuit in a house averages 15 to 50 amps. There are 1000 milliamps to an Amp. Each POWEROCKS product has a set milliamp power (mAh).
Q: What is USB charging?
A: USB is a universal computer port that transfers both data and power. USB is typically 1V to 5V of power or 100-200mAh to 500 mAh output for charging. There are 2 types of USB connections in POWEROCKS products, standard USB as well as micro USB. Micro USB is typically used for various devices and for charging the POWEROCKS products.
Q: What kind of battery cells do POWEROCKS use?
A: POWEROCKS products use a lithium ion battery. This type of rechargeable battery is most popular for portable electronic devices.
Q: What does lithium ion mean?
A: Lithium Ion batteries are the most popular rechargeable batteries today. Lithium ions move from the negative electrode to the positive electrode during discharge and back when charging. They are the best type of rechargeable battery on the market and should not to be confused with the lesser Lithium or Lithium-ion polymer batteries which hold less charge.
Q: What is the warranty on the POWEROCKS?
A: All POWEROCKS products, have a 120 day limited warranty.
Q: What can POWEROCKS Charge?
A: POWEROCKS can charge any device that can be powered by an USB connection, such as iPhone 4/4S & 5/5S, e-Readers, tablets, Android phones, bluetooth devices, cameras, gaming controllers, MP3 players, GPS devices and more.
Q: Do all the POWEROCKS devices come with the cables I need for charging?
A: Some devices such as iPhones will need the proper adapter for charging. Most of the POWEROCKS devices come with a USB and Micro USB cable as well as standard USB and Micro USB ports.
Q: Can I charge the POWEROCKS device in a regular power outlet?
A: Yes, with the optional AC outlet adapter sold separately.
Q: Why isn’t my POWEROCKS device charging?
A: Check the charging source to make sure there is power going to the POWEROCKS and make sure cord is fully connected. Also, check the POWEROCKS device to ensure it is fully charged.
Q: My POWEROCKS is warm when charging my phone, is this normal?
A: Yes, POWEROCKS will be warm to the touch and there is a safety chip that prevents overheating.
Q: My POWEROCKS device starts to charge my phone but then dies?
A: Some 4G phones have a quick charge feature that engages when the phones battery is under 30-50% charged. This means when you plug the phone in to charge it pulls power quicker to the phone. There is a safety feature within the POWEROCKS device that does not allow this to happen and shuts the battery off. To re-set the battery, simply plug the POWEROCKS device into a USB port. POWEROCKS device will only work for these phones if the phone battery is over 50% to full.
